Conference Services Manager

The Opportunity 

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a Conference Services Manager to join our team at the Holiday Inn - Estes Park, located in Estes Park, Colorado. As a Conference Services Manager, you will coordinate contracted group business, including conferences, group events, and weddings, to boost catering revenue and ensure operational success through site visits and detailed planning.

This individual must be on site for all conferences and events.

Responsibilities 

• Advance detailing and organization of conferences, weddings, and events with meeting planners.
• Communicate with clients via telephone and email to ensure events meet client expectations.
• Orchestrate pre-convention meetings as necessary for groups and initiate introduction to group contacts upon arrival. 
• Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders and additional event support documentation promptly to clients for contractual execution and internal operations teams. 
• Coordinate regularly with operations’ departments to ensure accuracy of catering and event agenda execution in accordance with Delaware North policies, procedures and standards of service.
• Upsell additional menu and beverage line items to increase catering revenue.
• Anticipate all client needs, responding in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Become an expert in Holiday Inn Estes Park accommodations, menus, and additional offerings. 

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality or similar field is preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in catering and event coordination required.
• Prior experience working in a hotel of similar size and volume preferred.
• Must be responsible, well organized and have exceptional written and oral communication skills. 
• Demonstrates a high level of concentration and attention to detail.  
• Experience with Delphi catering software preferred.
• Experience with Opera property management software preferred. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel programs.
