The Plaza Resort & Spa is now undergoing a complete hotel renovation and restoration of banquet and meeting space which was originally designed and built by none other than Henry Flagler in 1904.
Named the Clarendon Inn, the hotel quickly came to be known as the "Grand Old Lady" of Daytona Beach. Sadly, the beautiful wooden masterpiece was destroyed in a devastating fire on Valentines Day in 1909. Rebuilt in 1910 with brick, the back of the hotel was as magnificent as the front.
In the 1940's the Clarendon became part of the Sheraton hotel chain and the name was changed to the Daytona Plaza. Our mission is to restore the "Grand Old Lady" to its original splendor with a very special added touch.
Now named The Plaza Resort & Spa, we've added a world class multi-million dollar spa. All spa services and packages are available for reservation now, as well as Spa Gift Certificates.
